Rejuvenating Facial Procedures

Minimal Downtime Procedures
Dr. Goldberg offers several injectable treatments which require minimal to no downtime.
BOTOX® Cosmetic
As a non-surgical alternative to face lift surgery, BOTOX® Cosmetic can produce dramatic results with minimal downtime. One of the most popular facial aesthetic procedures performed today, BOTOX® Cosmetic can temporarily smooth moderate to severe lines, such as crow’s feet near the eyes and frown lines between the brows. During treatment, a natural protein botulinum toxin will be injected into targeted facial muscles, allowing these muscles to relax and the skin to smooth. A more youthful appearance will appear within a few days, and results typically last between three and six months.
Facial Fillers: Restylane®, Perlane®, Radiesse™, JUVÉDERM™, Sculptra®
Facial fillers such as Restylane®, Perlane®, Radiesse™, JUVÉDERM™, and Sculptra® are injected into targeted areas of the face to add fullness and smooth out wrinkles and lines. Injections take as little as 30 minutes to perform, and there is virtually no recovery time.
Restylane® — Restylane® is a popular treatment for smoothing wrinkles and plumping lips. Restylane® treatments may be repeated every six to nine months for optimal results.
Perlane® — Perlane® is essentially a higher concentration of Restylane®, and is best suited for treating large wrinkles and facial folds.
Radiesse™ (Formerly Radiance™) — Radiesse™ is an injectable substance that fills wrinkles, adding semi-permanent structure to the skin. Results may last up to two years, though touch-ups may be needed for some patients to maintain results.
JUVÉDERM™ — JUVÉDERM™ fills wrinkles and adds volume to facial features, but has less risk of allergic reactions than other facial fillers. Injections come in several concentrations to treat different kinds of wrinkles and lines.
Sculptra® — Injections of Sculptra® stimulate the formation of new collagen to increase volume and smooth wrinkles.
Moderate Downtime Procedures
Procedures such as blepharoplasty (eyelid lift), fat grafting, and neck liposuction can have dramatic results with a moderate recovery time.
Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)
Blepharoplasty, or eyelid lift surgery, transforms the appearance of tired, droopy-looking eyes through the reduction of excess skin and fat pockets around the eyes. During blepharoplasty, Dr. Goldberg may also lift the skin and tighten the muscles around the eyes. Both upper and lower eyelid surgery can be performed at the same time. This relatively quick surgery produces dramatic results with little discomfort and moderate recovery time. Patients are typically able to return to their normal routine within two weeks.
Blepharoplasty can be combined with non-surgical procedures such as chemical peels and skin resurfacing to enhance the texture of the skin around the eye area.
Fat Grafting
Fat grafting, also called fat transfer, uses living morsels of fat taken from another part of the body to fill facial wrinkles, enhance contours, and plump up the lips. Dr. Goldberg will use liposuction to extract the fat, typically in abdominal area, and then inject it into the targeted areas of the face. Results often last for several years.
Neck Liposuction
Liposuction of the neck area can slim the neck and chin and refine the jaw for a more contoured profile. The procedure is similar to liposuction performed on other parts of the body in that excess fat is removed using a small tube. Neck liposuction is intended to reduce the appearance of large jowls or a double chin and can result in a more youthful appearance. Patients typically recover within a week.
Comprehensive Rejuvenation
Over time, the skin of the face can loosen and sag, creating wrinkles, folds, and jowls that can add years to a person’s appearance. A comprehensive face lift allows patients to achieve a healthier, more youthful appearance.
Face Lift
During a comprehensive face lift, Dr. Goldberg aims to rejuvenate the appearance while preserving a completely natural look. During this multilayer approach to lifting the face, Dr. Goldberg will tighten underlying muscles and gently move skin and tissues into a more desirable position. Through his gentle approach, no damage is done to the hairline. The appearance of folds and loose skin is improved. Although our patients experience more downtime after a face lift than other types of facial procedures – typically two weeks – the comprehensive face lift produces dramatic results.
Because face lift will not change the texture of the skin, it may be combined with a chemical peel or laser resurfacing for optimal results. Chemical Peels

Skin Resurfacing: Lasers and Dermabrasion
In addition to chemical peels, we use lasers and dermabrasion to improve the texture and overall appearance of the skin. Lasers vaporize superficial layers of damaged skin to soften wrinkles and stimulate the growth of new skin. Laser skin resurfacing results in skin that is fresher and more supple. We can also target specific areas of the face with dermabrasion, a controlled, mechanical abrasion of the skin. We use dermabrasion to treat wrinkles around the mouth, small cysts called milia, and acne scars.
